Some of my favorite podcasts for summer listening!

I'm a sucker for Business Wars. You'd probably be, too. PC: Wondery.

The title says it all. Facebook vs. Snapchat. Starbucks vs. Dunkin'. Uber vs. Lyft. And SO. MUCH. MORE. Hosted by David Brown, this podcast is my favorite to binge. The average length of an episode is between 20-30 minutes, but there are usually a couple episodes that make up each featured "business war". The way David tells these stories really draws you in. It's that kind of storytelling where you feel like you're in the same room along with Evan Spiegel and Bobby Murphy as they decline Mark Zuckerberg's $3 BILLION offer to buy Snapchat. Yup. 11/10 for me.

Now this is my type of podcast design. Simple yet bold at the same time. PC: Stitcher.

I thank Madwell every day for introducing me to this podcast. Host/wonder woman Natalie Kim brings on a slew of professionals working in different roles across the marketing, advertising, and communications industries. I love how Natalie makes it a point to invite a diverse array of people onto the podcast. This diversity comes through in literally every way you can think of, from job titles to career progression. All guests are asked the same type of questions, but the insights and advice unique to each guest is what really makes the podcast shine. As a student interested in pursuing a career in the marketing, advertising, or communications industry, I love hearing different points of view and advice from the guests in this podcast, as well as the thoughtful commentary from Natalie herself.

My mornings would be incomplete without Kai Ryssdal and his voice. PC: NPR.

If you love hearing about the latest economic and business news, but you don't appreciate further discussion on these pieces of news, then Marketplace might not be for you. The purpose of this podcast is to help listeners make sense of the economic world around them through events happening in our country and around the globe. There are so many podcasts that deliver your basic, surface-level economic and business news, but this one really takes it a step further by breaking down the complexity of certain topics into digestible pieces of information.

Life goal: get invited on this podcast just to converse with Shane Parrish. PC: Farnum Street.

This is a podcast that everyone should know about (in my humble opinion, hehe). But seriously, I don't think I've ever seen another podcast loaded with this many intellectual and impressive individuals. And the thing is- they come from all different backgrounds. Professional female poker player? Yes. Renowned venture capitalists? Yes. DANIEL KAHNEMAN? (my public policy advisor would be shaking) Yes. There are currently 86 episodes to date, and each one is around 1-2 HOURS. If you're a nerd (like me), then you'll definitely appreciate what Shane and The Knowledge Project have to offer.
